Please, Please pray...

We found out this morning that Emily has Stage II cervical cancer. I can't believe that I've even just typed those words.

She had an irregular pap smear about a month ago...then a colposcopy 2 weeks ago and got the results this morning. She is devastated and is getting ready to get on a plane to come home right now. I have to be strong and positive when she gets here. I'm feeling neither of those things right now. I cannot lose this precious girl.

Please pray for her and for us to be strong for her. If you know of any prayer chains at your church or anywhere at all could you please put her name on it for me?

I believe in miracles. I so believe in miracles and we need one.

Brett just left to play basketball at the church gym (pick up game with 20-50 year old 'kids') and they pray at the beginning of the night. I asked him to add Emily.

I've been in your shoes. My 22 year old daughter was diagnosed with Stage 1A cervical cancer two years ago. Miracles do happen because when the surgery was performed, no cancer could be found; just irregular cells. It took a few weeks to get the results because they were double checking everything. I will keep your Emily in my prayers and pass her name along to all my prayer lists. I swear the power of JLand prayer healed my child. HUGS

(((((Melissa))))) I wish I could give you a hug in person and say a prayer with you. Just know that I'm thinking of you and I will be keeping Emily and family in my prayers. Keep your head up, know that God is at work right now and that for now we have your back.
