It's been a while since I've made an entry here. I have received some of the kindest comments and emails from you, my friends and I cannot tell you how much I appreciate them.
First of all Sarah and Bennie are doing well. Looking forward to the baby that they will eventually hold in their arms. It will happen, we all know that. They will make wonderful loving parents. Thank you so much for your prayers and thoughts for them. It warms my heart.
I am not so good at sharing unhappy things in my life. I guess I heard that old adage, "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything." too many times. I am going through a rough patch and I find that I just can't write about it publicly. I have gone through a depression before and managed to fight my way out of it over time and I'm sure that I will do it again. These are hard times for a lot of people. Sometimes it just feels like everything hits at one time and it takes us a while to get our footing and turn our thoughts around. I'm working on doing that, and some day soon I will get back to my normal cheerful self. In the meantime, if I can't come here and say something uplifting and positive I will not post anything. This will perhaps make me search for the good things.
One of the good things that I've found recently is a book that I just finished. I recommend it to everyone. The book is "The Road Less Travelled". Do yourself a favor and read this book. Read it slowly and digest it. It's helping me. I hope it helps you too.
Thank you all for your kind comments and emails. They have warmed my heart and brightened my days. What a wonderful community.

enjoy your weekend
I think we all have some times we'd rather not share. I just keep looking for the 'bright side' of things and sharing only happy thoughts as I go. I've learned that counting my blessings helps. Hope your days are brighter soon.

i've found the sad times are just as important as the good times for it brings me to a better appreciation of life and what's really important. i know the sun will shine your way again soon. i'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers..HUGZ~kbear
Melissa, I hope you find your way back to your happy spot soon. Never surrender!

Melissa, I know of what you speak. I get in my "hermit mode" as I call it and hunker down just keep to myself. You will work through this too, just don't forget to ask for help and then accept it when it's offered. Sometimes talking about it does help, just find that person you trust. Wishing you brighter days. De ;)
Life is full of ups and downs, we all have times like that. I never write about the really bad times on my journal. Hope you feel better soon. Hugs.
We share your philosophy about posting the good things, but leaving the struggles off. Hope you can start finding that silver lining on a more frequent basis.
we all have been there...sometimes longer than we like. hang in there you'll get through it!
Our minister son has been married for 8 years and they are wanting a baby so much. I am sure that the Lord has the right timing for them. I can see it in their eyes when they hold a baby now. :( Beginning to wonder about everyone being down recently. I have been down for about 4 weeks but hoping things will be better now. Some things we just can not talk about or feel like we should talk about. Know what you mean. I have not read that book but know of it. Maybe my son has read it. I sure hope that your days brighten up soon. I am thinking the change in the weather, less sunshine, might have something to do with the moods. Blessings, Janie
I sure hope things get better for you soon. We're all here for you.
Well there you are.. I hope you feel better soon. How bout you come to Baltimore and get a big ole kiss from a little ole Golden puppy.. that's enough to make even Mr Grinch feel warm and fuzzy. I really do hope that things get better. I'll look up that book. TY
I know all about depression and "rough patches" I hope yours passes soon, hang in there.
Hi Melissa,
It's good to hear from you. I know what you mean about depression I've had my share of it and it's not easy to pull yourself out of sometimes. They say things come in three's and I've found that to be true but sometimes those three's keep adding up and you wonder when you're gonna get a break. I've written a few entries that I've struggled with writing or not and shed alot of tears while writing them and rereading them but it seems if only for awhile it lifted a little of the weight off of me and the comments of encouragement warmed my heart. Sending you hugs and hoping the burdens you carry right now become lighter.
Hugs
Debbie

Melissa:
I too have been going through rough times, and want you to know that life does get better. It may not be the way we want it, but the way our path is guided. We can sometimes only make the best of it, but remain happy in our soul. Our heart and mind is only human, we feel earthly emotions.
Seemingly it feels it will break, but it is our soul that keeps us filled with loving light. Please keep faith in your life, and remember to let your heart smile when you can not. :)
I will keep you in my heart and mind! I will pray for you and your family to obtain the love and joy you deserve.
Thank you for stopping by my place and becoming a follower! :)
Please have a good day tomorrow and a great week!
Peace&Love
Wes
Hon, no one has a perfect life. Therefore yes, there will be a measure of sadness within the joy. Please don't ever feel you can't share just because it's not pleasant news. If anyone expects all flowery, perfection...they don't care about you. Otherwise they would be present no matter the mood. Friends are those who are there for you even when it's not convenient. (Hugs)Indigo
Hey Melissa...
I too have battled depression...it's a hard road to travel...but by the grace of God in time i saw brighter days ahead for me...and although sometimes I feel i may travel down that same road again...I try to think of positive things in life that I am blessed with...and think of how things could be so much worse for me... I am keeping you in my prayers...and am hoping you find brighter days ahead as well and know that you aren't alone... We're here for you...
Keep the Faith..and never give up hope!!!
Big hugs!
Terri

I an also reading an AWESOME book right now-- it's called "The Last Lecture" by Randy Pausch. I STRONGLY recommend it.

Hi Melissa!
Yes, our greatest achievements are most often born in moments of trial and testing.
The Ten Commandments was delivered in the middle of a desert! Before an athlete makes that diving catch, he has left his sweat on running up and down stadium steps during practice!
Perfection comes after testing.
Wishing you peace and a safe journey to that glorious moment when you can look back!
Warmth...Marc:)
